Remember that we started this conversation by stating that attending College is an investment in your future.  Making smart choices is vital to the success of any investment.  Bermuda College students often deal with the following risk factors:  multiple jobs, family responsibilities, and attending classes.  One way of managing some of these risks is to carefully plan your class schedule and manage your course load.

1. The number of credits listed for a course is equal to the minimum number of hours per week you must commit to attending class for that particular course. Example: ENG 1111 is equal to 3 credit hours and therefore requires you to attend classes for 3 hours each week.

2. The credit hours listed for a course do not include the time required to complete readings, assignments, and studying. Therefore, your priorities must be clear when you decide to attend Bermuda College. The table below, shows our enrolment recommendations based on your time commitment to employment.

*Special Note: The College for Working Adults (CWA) option generally requires a commitment to 9 credit hours per block of classes. As such working adults in the programme carrying a regular 35 hour (or more) work week should maintain contact with the support network provided by the College (academic advisor and assigned counsellor) to effectively manage the impact on your daily life.
