New students are not assigned an academic advisor until approximately the 4th week of their first semester. If you need to ask questions or make changes to your programme before you've been assigned an advisor, touch base with your Division Chair.

• remain informed of any changes to programme requirements
• secure approval of transfer credits  (if you've completed college level courses elsewhere)
• enhance probability of being suggested for academic awards
• enhance confidence when making suggestions for improving your academic division
• enhance confidence when engaged in an academic grievance (see Code of Conduct for information on this process)
• request a recommendation for scholarships, employment, or admission to an overseas institution
